Blue "Sturgeon" Moon

Updated: Oct 1, 2021

It’s a seasonal Blue Moon, the third of four full moons in a season (the time between a solstice and an equinox). August's Full Moon is also called the Sturgeon Moon because that's when sturgeon were historically fished from the Great Lakes region - the name corresponds with the season's happenings.

Even though this is the second full moon in Aquarius in a row, the experience will still be very different from the last one. The first full moon in Aquarius formed a conjunction with stoic Saturn, which centered its focus on hard truths of reality. The last full moon encouraged you to perceive your situation with more seriousness and to take a more practical approach.
